Praia De Ouro Sul
Praia de Ouro Sul, meaning "beach south of the point of gold" since the name of the neighbouring village,
Ponta do Ouro, means "point of gold".This secluded, private lodge is situated on the first row of forested dunes in
an indigenous coastal forest.
Tropical beaches, white sands, hot island weather and the warm waters of the
Indian ocean form an unforgettable picture.
Praia de Ouro Sul is the ultimate holiday destination for people looking
for luxurious accommodation in truly unspoilt, remote and tranquil surroundings.
The resort has 14 luxury and 01 Honeymoon tents and a main complex, comprising of the reception area,
a restaurant, bar, entertainment area and offices.
Accommodation:
Accommodation in permanent tents, constructed onto a wooden deck, fully equipped, is available throughout the year
at Praia de Ouro Sul. You can choose between a superior tent (accommodating only two people),
a single luxury tent (accommodating a maximum of four people in an open area) and
double luxury tents (accommodating a maximum
of four people each in a tent,
two tents situated next to each other on a wooden deck, sharing a kitchenette).
All tents have electricity and hot and cold water.
Every tent, be it a single, double or superior tent, has a refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, a separate
bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet (the superior tent also has a bath), a wardrobe,
a desk/dressing table with a chair, a fan and patio furniture. Bedding and towels are supplied.
No swimming towels are supplied in the tents - please bring your own or hire swimming towels from reception.
Tents are serviced daily.
Single luxury tents accommodate four people in an open area. Apart from the furniture that can be found in all
of the tents, two ¾ beds and one bunker bed are supplied in the standard tents.
A self-catering basket with crockery and cutlery, etc., to be used at the boma, is supplied with the payment
of a refundable deposit of R300,00 for the basket and the other crockery and cutlery in the tent, payable on arrival.
Double luxury tents are available for larger families or friends who want to stay close to each other.
The double tents are two single tents which sleep 2 to 4 people in each tent and
constructed together onto the wooden deck with a shared kitchenette
between the two tents. The double tents are similar to the standard tents regarding furniture.
The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, gas burners, kitchen utensils and two self-catering baskets
with crockery and cutlery etc. to be used at the boma, which are included in the daily rate.
A refundable deposit of R300,00 for the basket and the other crockery and cutlery in the tent has to be paid upon arrival.
The only superior tent (called "The Salon") accommodates only two people and is ideal for honeymoon couples
and other couples celebrating a special event. Apart from the usual furniture that can be found in all of the tents,
the superior tent also have two loungers on the patio, a queen size bed and linen of the very best quality.
All the furniture in the superior tent is ivory, and the colour scheme is blue and ivory.
There is also a bath in the bathroom as well as a shower, basin and toilet.
The self-catering basket with crockery and cutlery, etc. to be used at the boma, is included in the daily rate.
Also included in the superior tent's rates are two breakfasts and two dinner discount vouchers, food only, daily
(except for Mondays, out of season, when the restaurant is closed.)
No preparation of food is allowed at the tents. The restaurant serves brunch and dinner daily, or
otherwise meals are prepared by guests at the boma, which is walking distance from all the tents.
Gas braaiers and a basin for dishes are supplied at the boma for the preparation of food.
It is a good idea to bring along a picnic basket with crockery and cutlery for your family to use at the
boma and fold-away chairs.
Also, bring along whatever you will need for a braai.
Firewood for braais at the boma will be supplied.
The tents are serviced daily (general cleaning, but excluding the washing of dishes and laundry).
