Morrungulo is situated 560 km north of Maputo. Massinga is the closest town, approximately 20kms away where most basic supplies can be bought. Petrol is available and telephone calls can be made from the post office. Inhambane is 100Km south and Vilanculos is about 200 kms further north.
Pomene which is a further 40km north and is a prime location for fishing with an abundance of marlin, king fish, king mackerel, and sail fish. It is said that “finally, here is a place where the fish are as big as your stories”.
