The Hotel Cardoso is beautifully situated in the heart of Maputo on a hill overlooking the bay. It is only 5 minutes by car to the central business district of Maputo and just 15 minutes from Mavalane International Airport.
The Hotel Cardoso was reopened in 1995 following an extensive renovation programme. The Cardoso prides itself on offering the comfort, style and service that international business travelers expect.

There are a total of 131 bedrooms, including 6 luxury suites. All bedrooms and suites have private bathroom, personally controlled air-conditioning, international direct-dial telephone, remote control satellite TV , mini-bar, hairdryer and writing desk. There is a same-day laundry service and an overnight dry cleaning service. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

The lounge, bar and restaurants are all fully air-conditioned and provide a wide variety of menus from which to choose, enjoy a fine a la carte dinner, a more informal buffet for lunch and dinner, a quick snack, or just a relaxing drink in the bar.
A major feature of the hotel is the large, outdoor pool which is surrounded by a spacious terrace with a magnificent view of Maputo Bay. Refresh yourself with a swim, or relax in one of the poolside loungers, soak up the sun and admire the view.

The Hotel Cardoso has four meeting rooms and a fully equipped business centre offering secretarial and translation services. Guests can also make photocopies, and send and receive faxes and e-mails.
The hotel has its own boutique selling fabrics, pottery, handicrafts and batiks. There is also a shop where guests can buy toiletries, confectionery, newspapers and magazines.

HOTEL CARDOSO PRICE LIST

1. Leisure rates apply to Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights plus the Thursday and/or Monday nights of a long weekend where the Friday and/or Monday is a public holiday in South Africa and from 12/12/09 to 12/01/10 except for the Soccer World Cup and New Year peak periods.

2. Peak Leisure rates apply from 12/06/2010 to 12/07/2010 and from 30/12/2010 to 03/01/2011.

3. Corporate rates apply to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, except when the accommodation is over a leisure or peak leisure period or if the Thursday or Monday precedes or follows a long weekend.

4. Child Rates only apply when sharing with parents one of the five family sea view rooms at the hotel which have a double bed and sleeper couch.  Infants under 2 are free and children 2-11 years pay R100.00 per child (max of 2 children).  Children 2-11 years in separate rooms pay 75% of the adult single or sharing rate over a leisure period, but the full adult rate if over a Corporate period.

5. Certain conditions apply to group bookings of 10 rooms or more.

All rates are quoted in South African Rand and are per room per night- Rates are inclusive of Accommodation, Breakfast and Government taxes- Rates are subject to change if there is a significant movement in exchange rates.
