Tandje Beach Resort which is also know as Ponta do Ouro Camp. "Tandje" actually means “Queen Mother” and the resort is close to the traditional burial ground of a powerful and previous King of the area.
Tandje Beach Resort Accommodation - Beach side chalets Over-looking the boat launch site and the bay.
12 x 2-bed chalets, equipped with beds and linen, crockery and cutlery, chairs and a table, and a cold-water basin. These are serviced by small, hot and cold-water ablutions.
15 x 4-bed chalets, each with their own bathroom, however with only a cold water shower. Full crockery, cutlery and linen are provided.
The 2 or 4 bed chalets do not have fridge facilities, so cooler boxes are recommended. Ice is available for purchase from the central bar.
02 x 6 bed larger beachfront chalets, sleeping up to 6 persons. These chalets have their own full kitchens and bathrooms with hot and cold water. Full crockery, cutlery and linen are provided, as is a freezer.
It is a requirement that all chalet guests take their own beach and bath towels, anti-mosquito repellents and a torch. All chalets are cleaned and serviced daily by the resort staff. Gratuities are excluded from accommodation prices. Please note that all chalets are very basic and old. We recommend that guests bring their own pack of cutlery, tin and bottle opener and barbeque grid to assist their holiday.
Tandje Beach Resort Camping - In the middle of the camp, various camp sites are on offer with 2 ablution blocks, which have hot water showers. Please note that the water pressure is not the same as at home. It may disappear when you are having a shower. Toilet paper is supplied. The campsite offers the normal options, electricity points are available (bring a long extension cord), a beach bar is available and all the shops and markets in town offer all the basic requirements for your stay. The sites are not numbered and work on a first come first serve basis.
The beach in front of the campsite and chalets is ideal for water sports, sunbathing and beach games. In the village, there is quad bike hire, and the sand roads in the area provide some exiting times for 4x4 enthusiasts.

Please take special note of the following clauses before
making your reservations.
· During Long Weekend & Peak Season Periods -
any changes to an invoice after final payment date,
of whatever nature, e.g. names, numbers, duration, etc,
shall be considered a new booking, and subject to availability.
· The original booking will be deemed to have been cancelled,
with forfeiture of any deposits paid.
· Deposits are for the specific booking made,
and any changes will result in loss, either partly,
or completely of deposit.
· Deposits cannot be transferred between bookings
or persons under any circumstances.
PEAK SEASON: SPECIAL PAYMENT & REQUIREMENTS-
Easter Long Weekend
Due to the extremely high demand for the above periods this
year no booking can be considered confirmed until a 50% Deposit
of total invoice value is received.
All booking requests will be provisionally held for 48 hours,
pending payment of a 50% deposit. Should no deposit
be forthcoming within this period, then the booking will
automatically be cancelled.
The full outstanding balance must be paid as follows:
Easter Long Weekend: payment in full by 1rd March 2012
